Michael Hallett, Board President

Michael Hallett has been on the Kindle Board of Directors since 2013 and was elected President in 2015. Mike is a CPA, CA with an extensive financial background including roles as a chief financial officer and corporate controller. He is a resident of Guelph.

Don Fisher, Board Member

Donald Fisher was elected to the Kindle Board in 2013. He is a retired lawyer who specialized in planning and development law with over 30 years of experience in municipal governments. He currently sits on the Centre Wellington Township council and lives in Elora.

Jan Lord, Board Member

Jan Lord was a member of the Kindle Board of Directors from 2006 - 2016, including several terms as Board President, and she returned to the Board in 2017. Her past Board experience includes the Family & Children's Services Board of Directors, St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin District Health Council, the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies, and 3rd Age Learning Guelph. Jan is the former Execuive Director of VON Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin and is a long-term resident of Guelph.

Augusta Tribe, Board Member

Augusta Tribe is a Guelph-based lawyer who currently works part-time in her law practice. She is currenlty a member of the Family & Children's Services Board of Directors. For many years she acted for the Office of the Children's Lawyer and had extensive board governance experience including positions on the Wellington Law Association, Guelph Youth Singers, Guelph Transportation Commission, and Guelph Spring Festival. Augusta is a resident of Guelph.

Sheila Markle, CEO

Sheila Markle became CEO of Kindle Communities Inc. in April 2016. She is the Executive Director of Family & Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County and has more than 25 years of child welfare experience. She is a strong advocate for children, youth, and families.

David Estill, Board Member


David Estill is a Sales and Strategy Manager for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Limited. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Family & Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County and is volunteer mentor for Big Brothers, Big Sisters. He has extensive governance having served on the Boards of Our Energy Guelph, eMerge Guelph, and the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. David and his family reside in Guelph.
